A straight aluminium wire rope ferrule is a small but essential component used in the fabrication of wire rope assemblies
Its main purpose is to create a permanent and secure termination at the end of a wire rope
The ferrule is slipped over the loose end of the wire rope
The rope is looped back to form an eye (loop) or to attach around a fitting (like a hook, thimble, or shackle)
The ferrule is then compressed (swaged) under high pressure using a hydraulic press or swaging tool
This compression deforms the aluminium ferrule tightly around the wire strands, creating a strong mechanical bond
The ferrule must be correctly sized to the wire rope diameter
